Eighty years and eight.
No craving, no attachment.
Let’s go back home.
When the water clears, the moon appears
Apply your spiritual energy before desire arises
The mind will be shining bright, alone and liberated
It will be clear everywhere and revealed in everything
I do not seek the way, yet I am not confused
I do not venerate the Buddhas, yet I am not conceited
I do not meditate for long periods of time, yet I am not lazy.
When the mind seeks nothing, that is the Way.
The body of man is like a flicker of lightning
existing only to return to Nothingness.
Like the spring growth that shrivels in autumn.
Waste no thought on the process for it has no purpose,
Coming and going like dew.
If water drips long enough
Even rocks wear through
It is not true that thick skulls can’t be pierced
People just imagine their minds are hard
